A certificate you cannot check is decoration

Almost every supplier website displays certification logos. Very few publish the certificate number and the issuing body, which is the only version of that claim a buyer can actually verify without asking.

Research into business-to-business website usability found that incomplete product and supplier information is a primary cause of buyer scepticism, and that business-to-business sites underperform consumer sites on task success largely for this reason. The remedy is not more adjectives. It is checkable specifics.

What we record and retain

• First article inspection with a full dimensional report before series release
• Material certificates to EN 10204 3.1, issued with every shipment. 3.2 with a nominated third party where your specification requires it
• Hardness and case depth recorded per heat-treated batch, case depth by micro-hardness traverse on a sectioned sample
• Chrome layer thickness recorded per plating batch
• Welder qualification records per welder and per procedure
• Retention period 10 years for drawings, production records and inspection records

Non-conformance

When something goes wrong the useful question is not whether a supplier has a procedure, but how fast the answer arrives and whether it identifies a cause. Our commitment: acknowledgement within one working day, containment proposal within three, and a written root-cause response with corrective action within ten.
