Clevises, Mountings & Rod-end Bearings

Rod eyes, clevises, trunnion mounts and pin bosses, machined from forging, bar or plate as the drawing requires.

The part that carries the load into the machine

Mounting parts are where cylinder failures become machine failures. The bore tolerance, the bush seat interference and the weld preparation all have to be right, and none of them is visible once the cylinder is assembled.

We machine from forging where the drawing specifies it, and from bar or plate where it does not. If the drawing is silent on the starting form, tell us the load case and we will ask the question rather than choose the cheapest blank.

Hydraulic cylinder clevises, mountings and rod end bearings by ORISE MACHINERY
Hydraulic cylinder rod end connection components — clevises, mounting brackets, and spherical rod end bearings that ensure proper alignment and prevent harmful side loads, by ORISE MACHINERY.

Bush fitting. State whether bushes are supplied fitted or loose. If fitted, name the bush supplier and part number so we can hold the correct seat fit rather than assume a nominal interference.

What we need on the drawing

  • Pin bore diameter, tolerance and surface finish
  • Bush or spherical bearing part number, and the seat fit required
  • Starting form if it is a design requirement rather than a preference
  • Weld preparation geometry and the welding standard that applies
  • Any NDT requirement and its acceptance criteria
  • Load case if you want us to comment on manufacturability
